Provided is a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of precisely detecting, from ion current signals, combustion conditions of the internal combustion engine, such as knocking occurrence, with a simple arrangement. A control device (20) of an internal combustion engine (100) provided with an ion current value detection unit (42) for detecting an ion current value during combustion comprises: an ion current signal processing unit (20l) for signal processing the ion current value; and a detecting unit (20m) for detecting the combustion condition of the internal combustion engine (100) on the basis of the processing result of the ion current signal processing unit (20l), the ion current signal processing unit (20l) having a derivative unit (20la) for calculating a differential value of the ion current value.
