<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft type windmill which can reduce air resistance for rotation of an impeller and can improve rotation performance of the impeller.SOLUTION: A vertical shaft type windmill 1 includes: a rotation shaft vertically installed; an impeller 5 which annually arranges a plurality of blades 51 around the rotation shaft 6 as a center, is pivotally supported on the rotation shaft 6 and is rotatable; and a guide vane 4 which has a cylindrical impeller housing 43 for rotatably storing the impeller 5, arranges a plurality of wind introduction port 42a at a regular interval in the rotation shaft direction and in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential surface of the impeller housing 43, at the same time, arranges the plurality of wind guiding plates 41 along the plurality of wind introduction ports on the outer circumferential surface so as to guide wind to the plurality of wind introduction 42a, and is configured so as to be arranged in the vertical direction of the plurality of wind introduction ports 42a. Wind guided to the impeller 5 via the plurality of wind introduction ports 42a is exhausted so as to be released to at least one side of the vertical direction of the impeller 5 and the windmill is configured so as to reduce air resistance for rotation of the impeller 5.</p> |
