<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a cylindrical member with a protrusion, by forming the protrusion on the cylindrical member such as an outer ring.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a cylindrical member with a protrusion includes a step of forming the radially-protruding protrusion (112) in a thermally-untreated part (114) positioned on the other side of the inner peripheral surface side of the cylindrical member such as an outer ring (110), according to a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between a thermally-treated part (115) and the thermally-untreated part, by applying heat treatment to the outer peripheral surface side of the end side of the cylindrical member such as the outer ring (110).</p> |
