A reaction-force output device provided with: a motor, which is a drive source that creates a reaction force; a reaction-force output shaft (13), which interlocks with a motor output shaft to rotate; and an interlocking arm (15), which transmits the motor output torque that is input to the reaction-force output shaft (13) to an operation pedal. A torque limiting mechanism (18), which limits the transmission of torque that is equal to or greater than a specified value between the reaction-force output shaft (13) and the interlocking arm (15), is disposed between the reaction-force output shaft (13) and the interlocking arm (15).
