CASE COMPONENT EXTRACTION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a case component from an extracted character string with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A case component extraction program makes a computer execute: a preprocessing step of extracting character strings from description of patent claims in a patent specification converted into electronic data; a word comprehension step of performing morpheme analysis and parsing on the character strings processed in the preprocessing step and resolving the character strings into words to define a prescribed character string as one word; a noun phrase extraction step of extracting a noun phrase from the character string including the word having passed the word comprehension step; a case component extraction step of extracting a case component from the noun phrase extracted in the noun comprehension extraction step; and a concept hierarchy specification step of specifying a concept hierarchy of nouns included in each case component extracted in the case component extraction step in reference to a concept dictionary in which concepts of nouns are hierarchized from an upper concept to a lower concept and are stored.
