<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering mechanism capable of corresponding to transverse movement or the like without using any complicated mechanism, in a vehicle for providing steering angles to four wheels.SOLUTION: A steering device comprises: a pair of rack bars 53 and 54 connected to right and left wheels respectively; a synchronous gear interposed between the pair of rack bars 53 and 54; a first pinion gear 62 engaged with one rack bar 53 of the pair of rack bars 53 and 54; a second pinion gear 65 engaged with the other rack bar 54; and a connecting member 63 for separating or connecting the rotary shafts of both of the pinion gears 62 and 65. The connecting member 63 performs separation/connection by the engagement between the projection part 63c of a movement part 63a and the recessed part 63d of a stationary part 63b. When the connection member 63 is separated, the pair of rack bars 53 and 54 is moved in opposite directions by the action of the synchronous gear to become a special steering mode such as the lateral movement. On the other hand, when the connection member 63 is connected, the pair of rack bars 53 and 54 moves in the same direction, so that ordinary steering can be performed.</p> |
