PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifier that prevents damage to a circuit and does not lower a power factor even when there is possibility that a short circuit of an AC power supply occurs due to the operation state of a semiconductor switch.SOLUTION: A rectifier 100 includes: a rectifier circuit 4 in which two adjacent sides at a side where a feedback current flows through an AC power supply 1 are composed of switch element Qa and Qb and other two sides are composed of rectifier elements Da and Db; an input voltage detector 6; an input current detector 7; and a control circuit 8 that controls the switch elements Qa and Qb by modulating a pulse width according to a difference between an input current target value, which is generated on the basis of synchronous sine wave synchronized with an input voltage, and an input current. If any one polarity out of polarities of the input voltage, input current, and synchronous sine wave is different from other polarities, the two switch elements Qa and Qb are caused to perform a switching operation simultaneously. |
