PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To differ an illumination method for each location within a space area which an illumination device illuminates.SOLUTION: An illumination device 10 is an illumination device that illuminates a space area such as room space. The illumination device 10 includes: a light source 11 for generating illumination light; an electrooptical panel 12 including a pixel 100 as a light modulation element that modulates light emitted from the light source 11 on the basis of image information; a setting unit that sets the image information corresponding to the space area; a driving unit that drives the pixel 100 so as to modulate the emitted light on the basis of the image information set by the setting unit; and a projection lens 13 that projects the light modulated by the pixel 100 of the electrooptical panel 12 as illumination light onto a given surface constituting the space area. |
