<p>Disclosed are a backlight module and a liquid crystal display. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate (21), a light source unit (22), and a light conversion unit (23). The light guide plate (21) comprises at least one light entering surface (211). The light source unit (22) is disposed to be adjacent to the light entering surface (211). The light conversion unit (23) is fixedly disposed between the light source unit (22) and the light entering surface (211). The light conversion unit (23) converts light emitted by the light source unit (22) into white light. The light conversion unit (23) is a quantum dot composite light emitting material strip, the quantum dot composite light emitting material strip comprises a plurality of light emitting quantum dots, and light emitted after the light emitting quantum dots are triggered is combined with light emitted by the light source unit (22) to form white light. According to the backlight module and the liquid crystal display of the present invention, the quantum dot composite light emitting material strip is fixed, fixed assembly of the quantum dot composite light emitting material strip is simplified, the quantum effect is used, and a color gamut saturation (NTSC) value of the backlight module can be effectively improved.</p> |
