A lithium secondary battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The separator comprises a porous basic material having pores. The average diameter (d) of the pore is more than or equal to 50 nm. The diameter distribution (d75/d25) of the pore is more than or equal to 3. The non-aqueous electrolyte has 10 mS/cm of the ionic conductivity at 25 °C. The value of the ionic conductivity of the non-aqueous electrolyte can be controlled according to the pore of the porous basic material. Accordingly, the lithium secondary battery minimizes cycle properties, generation of micro-shorts, and formation of undesired by-products. |
