The present invention relates to a method for controlling a puzzle toy, which helps to improve creativity of children by controlling a puzzle toy assembled by a user terminal in accordance with a model database depending on the type of toys from a puzzle toy manufactured in a variety of models as the puzzle toy comprises a driving unit, a speaker unit, and a lighting unit. Moreover, the present invention helps children take an interest by escaping from a simple movement control of the puzzle toy, providing contents related with the puzzle toy, and driving a related game as an augmented reality.
