Disclosed is a method (1, 16) for producing a semifinished product or a component (2), in which a curable coating (6, 17) comprising fiber-reinforced plastic is applied to a metal support (3) and the coated metal support (3) is formed in a further step into a semifinished product or a component (2). For an improved and inexpensive method (1, 17), it is proposed that the metal support (3) is coated at most in some regions and a metal layer (12) is applied to this coating, wherein the metal support is subjected to the forming operation only once its coating (6, 17), during curing, forms a secure material bond between metal support and metal layer (12), wherein the coated metal support (3) is formed such that plastic shape changes, which follow the forming radii (21) of said support, are produced substantially in its coating-free regions (15). |
