PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new combination of known pharmaceuticals highly suitable to treatment of proliferative disease, particularly cancer.SOLUTION: The prevent invention provides a combination agent comprising: a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor such as 4-amino-1-(2-deoxy-b-D-erythro-pentofuranosyl)-1,3,5-triazin-2(1H)-one [decitabine] or 4-amino-1-&bgr;-D-ribofuranosyl-s-triazin-2(1H)-one [azacitidine]; and 1-(2-C-cyano-2-dioxy-&bgr;-D-arabino-pentofuranosyl)-N4-palmitoyl cytosine ["CYC682" or sapacitabine], or a metabolite thereof. |
