<p>A forging method for forming a rod-shaped material (1) comprises: a step for carrying the material (1) in an x-axis direction that is a longitudinal direction; a step for rotating the material (1) about an axis (x-axis); and a step for putting part of the material (1) between a pair of flat dies (11) in a z-axis direction orthogonal to the x-axis direction and pressurizing the part of the material. The pair of flat dies (11) each has, on the side that is in contact with the material (1), a uniform surface along a y-axis direction orthogonal to the x-axis direction and the z-axis direction. Regarding the pair of flat dies (11), the rotation angle (θ) about the axis (x-axis) of the material (1) is represented by θ=360/m/(2n+1), and the feed amount (A) in the x-axis direction of the material (1) is represented by A<L/(2n+1). Here, m is the logarithm of the flat die, n is a natural number of 3 or more, and L is the width in the x-axis direction of the pair of flat dies (11).</p> |
