<p>The present invention relates to a method for improving user convenience by displaying a stored phone number on a display of a device when an incoming call or message to the mobile phone, a hand-held device, or a telephone is from an unknown number which is not stored in the device and the unknown number has partial similarity with a phone number stored in the device. For an incoming call or message from an unknown number not stored in a mobile phone, a hand-held device, or a telephone, if the unknown number has partial similarity with a phone number stored in the device, the present invention suggests a method to additionally provide the stored phone number on the display of the device. The present invention compares an unknown caller number which is not stored on a mobile phone, a hand-held device, or a telephone with phone numbers stored on the current device, infers the unknown number, and provides information about the unknown number to the maximum. The present invention can be used to provide additional information about an unknown number on a device on which a caller number is displayed such as telephones and mobile devices.</p> |
