<p>In the field of fine chemicals, arenesulfonyl chloride plays an important role in transformation of functional groups in synthesis processes of major intermediates. The present invention relates to a novel method for producing arenesulfonyl chloride. The conventional methods for producing arenesulfonyl chloride from arene sulfonic acid have problems such as high temperature reaction condition of greater than or equal to 70°C, a long time required for the reaction, non-uniform reaction conditions, etc. In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a novel method for producing arenesulfonyl chloride by allowing arene sulfonic acid to react with bis(trichloromethyl)carbonate, potassium phosphate tribasic, and a catalytic amount of triethylamine under a mild condition with a temperature equal to or less than 25°C, thereby obtaining arenesulfonyl chloride with a high yield. The present invention can significantly contribute to the development of the related industrial fields such as dyes, agricultural chemicals, medicines, electronic materials, etc.</p> |
