<p>Disclosed is a method for processing an image for an AVM system. The method comprises: photographing an environment around a vehicle to generate a top view image; comparing two top view images generated at different times with each other to create a difference map; extracting partial regions from the difference map; and continuously connecting the extracted partial regions in an order of times when each region was photographed, to generate an object recognizing image. Accurate positions and shapes of objects positioned around the vehicle may be recognized, and more accurate information regarding the objects around the vehicle may be provided to a driver.</p> |
