PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil protection member capable of inserting the tooth part of a laminated split iron core into a coil group previously integrally formed without reducing the performance and insulation of a rotary electric machine, and to provide a stator of the rotary electric machine and a method for manufacturing the stator of the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A coil protection member 3 mounted on a laminated split iron core 10 formed by laminating a plurality of magnetic iron core pieces consisting of an arc shaped yoke part and a tooth part projected inside from the yoke part and for protecting a stator coil group 12 when the laminated tooth part 11a of the laminated split iron core 10 is inserted into a stator coil group 12 previously integrally wound from the outer peripheral side of the stator coil group 12 comprises: an inner peripheral surface cover part for covering the inner peripheral surface of a laminated split iron core 11 faced to the outer peripheral surface of a rotor 2 inserted inside the laminated iron core 10 having a plurality of laminated split iron cores 11 annularly arranged; and a side surface cover part for covering at least a tip portion on the inner peripheral side of a side surface in the circumferential direction of the laminated tooth part 11a continuously with the inner peripheral surface cover part.
