PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic element capable of suppressing the amount of a transparent conductive film forming material used, while having sufficient output characteristics.SOLUTION: A photovoltaic element 10 includes: an n-type crystalline semiconductor substrate 11; an amorphous semiconductor layer 13 of a first conductivity type and a first transparent conductive film 14 laminated in this order on one side of the n-type crystalline semiconductor substrate 11; and an amorphous semiconductor layer 17 of a second conductivity type, a second transparent conductive film 18, and a metal film 19 laminated in this order on the other side of the n-type crystalline semiconductor substrate 11. The one side is used as a light incident surface. Pyramidal uneven structures due to anisotropic etching are formed on both surfaces of the n-type crystalline semiconductor substrate 11. The second transparent conductive film 18 has a film thickness of 40 nm or more and less than 70 nm. |
