<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elevator device modification method and an elevator which is not expensive and can suppress lowering of a rope life time with making a rope guide unnecessary.SOLUTION: In an elevator device modification method, an existing hoist is removed, a car rope fixing beam, a weight rope fixing beam, a new hoist and deflect sheaves are installed at the pedestals of an existing machine room, and first to fourth openings are formed at the floor of the machine room with a spacing to each other. One end side of a new rope wound over rope sheaves of the hoist is lowered in a hoistway from the second opening, is wound over a car lifting sheave and raised, is guided to the machine room through the first opening, and the one end the new rope is connected to the car rope fixing beam. The other end side of the new rope wound over the rope sheave of the hoist is lowered in the hoistway from the third opening with changing the trajectory by the deflect sheaves, is wound over a weight lifting sheave and raised, is guided into the machine room through the fourth opening, and the other end of the new rope is connected to the weight rope fixing beam.</p> |
