PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator monitoring system in which a new monitoring device can monitor all existing and new elevators in an integral manner when an existing elevator is replaced by a new elevator.SOLUTION: An elevator monitoring system according to this invention includes: a plurality of existing elevators provided in a plurality of hoistways; an existing monitoring device 2a that is connected to these existing elevators and displays the operation states of these existing elevators on a display screen; a camera 3 for capturing images of the operation states displayed on the display screen of this existing monitoring device 2a; a plurality of new elevators that have replaced the existing elevators; and a new monitoring device 2A that is connected to these new elevators and displays the operation states of the new elevators on a display screen. This new monitoring device 2A displays also the operation states captured by the camera 3 on its display screen.
