PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to position a fixing unit which is detachable from a device body in a proper state with respect to the device body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a fixing unit 9 which is detachable from the body of the image forming apparatus and fixes a developer image formed on a recording medium; positioning sections 10, 11 which come into contact with the fixing unit 9, for positioning the fixing unit 9 to a mounting position of the device body; and a first component arranged with a first gap in a first direction with respect to the fixing unit 9. A regulation section 8 faces the fixing unit 9 with a gap smaller than the first gap in the first direction, and comes into contact with the fixing unit 9 so as to prevent the fixing unit 9 from coming into contact with the first component when the fixing unit 9 moves relative to the device body in the first direction. |
