<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated metal complex capable of exhibiting a nonconventional and new physical property.SOLUTION: The integrated metal complex has a chiral crystal structure made of Fe[Nb(CN)] (4-bromopyridine)nHO (n is 0 to 10). Thus, the integrated metal complex can exhibit the following new physical property. The spin state of an Fe ion as a transition metal ion can undergo phase transition, in accordance with the temperature, to a high temperature phase HT of a high spin state and to a low temperature phase LT of paramagnetism of a spin state lower than that of the high temperature phase HT. At the low temperature phase LT, the integrated metal complex receives fundamental wave light L1 and emits second harmonic wave light L2.</p> |
