<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target for generating neutrons which can reduce activation function by protons and can reduce harmful neutrons of high activation function, as compared with prior art, while solving the heat problem and hydrogen embrittlement problem of a target material fundamentally. <P>SOLUTION: The compound target for generating neutrons by causing collision of protons is produced by compounding beryllium and a non-metal material.
