<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal with which more enhanced convenience can be realized. <P>SOLUTION: A posture sensor 13 detects a posture of a mobile terminal. When posture control information indicating the posture of the mobile terminal is input, an application unit 15 performs an operation according to the posture information. A conversion unit 16 converts a detection result of the posture sensor 13 into the posture information and inputs it in the application unit 15. In an operation unit 12, a setting operation to set conversion rules for converting the detection result of the posture sensor 13 into the posture information is performed.
