<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a band wider than the conventional one and to produce a long-length film having uniform thickness and optical properties and wider than the conventional one.SOLUTION: A side edge 12e of a central member 12 as a wide sheet material is detected with a position detection means 34, and, based on the detection result, the carrier passage of the central member 12 is controlled with a first roller 26 and a second roller 27. A side member 11 as a narrow sheet member is drawn to the central member 12 with a third roller. The butt position Pc between the side edge 11e of the side member 11 and the side edge 12e of the central member 12 is being above a fourth roller 29. The butted side member 11 and central member 12 are fed to welding equipment 42 in a chamber 52, and the butted parts are welded in a longitudinal direction. A welded band member 13 is coiled by a coiling device 20.</p> |
