<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the reduction of the number of apparatuses in a mercury removal treatment from a liquefied hydrocarbon, and the energy saving. <P>SOLUTION: A method for removing mercury contained in a liquefied hydrocarbon includes: a stripping step of bringing the liquefied hydrocarbon containing mercury into couterflow contact with a stripping gas to heat the liquefied hydrocarbon by the stripping gas and move mercury into the stripping gas; a mercury removal step of bringing the stripping gas containing the mercury having moved therein into contact with an adsorbent without being cooled to adsorb and remove the mercury from the stripping gas; and a stripping gas compression step of adiabatically compressing the stripping gas to heat the stripping gas to a temperature higher than the temperature of the liquefied hydrocarbon supplied in the stripping step, and reutilizing the heated stripping gas in the stripping step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
