<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite signal receiver capable of precisely determining whether or not environment is suitable for receiving satellite signals by utilizing a solar cell and capable of suppressing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The satellite signal receiver includes: a solar cell 22; a power charging state detection circuit 43 which is a power generation state detection circuit for detecting a power generation state of the solar cell 22; a voltage detection circuit 44; and a control circuit 40. The control circuit 40 operates a GPS receiving circuit 30 only when a detection value detected by the voltage detection circuit 44 exceeds a threshold set in advance, and changes the threshold when a state that the detection value detected by the voltage detection circuit 44 is less than the threshold continues for the power generation detection time set in advance or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
