<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus employing as a heat source, a vapor compression refrigeration cycle whose energy-saving effects are increased by improving the heat exchange efficiency by heating a recording material to a temperature higher than a condensation temperature of a cooling medium. <P>SOLUTION: A preliminary heating device 100 preliminarily heats a recording material P using a heat pump 101 to a temperature lower than a heating nip N and delivers it to a fixation device 26. A conveyance belt 102 coveys the recording material P heated by a condenser 105a to let it pass a condenser 105b. The condenser 105a heats the recording material at a heating temperature lower than the condenser 105b with use of a cooling medium which has released heat at the condenser 105b to be of a condensation temperature. The condenser 105b heats the recording material P to a temperature over the condensation temperature of the cooling medium using sensible heat of the overheated vapor of the cooling medium heated by compressing with a compressor 104 of the heat pump 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
