<p>According to one embodiment, there is provided a power supply circuit (14, 104, 114, 124, 134, 144) including a direct-current voltage source (22, 23), a bridge circuit (24), a transformer (25), and a rectifying and smoothing circuit (26). The bridge circuit (24) includes at least one switching element (51, 52) and converts a direct-current voltage supplied from the direct-current voltage source (22, 23) into an alternating-current voltage according to ON and OFF of the switching element (51, 52). The transformer (25) includes a primary winding wire (55) connected to the bridge circuit (24) and a secondary winding wire (56, 57) magnetically coupled to the primary winding wire (55). The rectifying and smoothing circuit (26) converts the alternating-current voltage output from the secondary winding wire (56, 57) into a direct-current output voltage and supplies the direct-current output voltage to a direct-current load (12). The bridge circuit (24) includes a capacitor (53) connected between the primary winding wire (55) and a terminal on a low potential side of the direct-current voltage source (22, 23).
