<p>The invention relates to a method for installing a shower partition having at least one U-shaped profiled rail (20) that is provided for holding a further component (16) of the shower partition, such as a component consisting of aluminium or a glass partition. Owing to the dimensions of the profiled rail (20) and the component (16), after the component (16) has been installed in the profiled rail (20), the latter exerts a position-fixing clamping action on the component (16) inserted into and positioned in the profiled rail (20). Prior to installing the component (16) in the profiled rail (20), an adhesive material layer (27) made of a material designed for firm adhesion to the aluminium surface or glass surface of the component (16) to be inserted into the profiled rail (20) is applied to the inner face of at least one limb (22) of the profiled rail (20), said inner face being seated against the component when the latter is installed. At least the region of the component (16) to be inserted between the limbs (22) of the profiled rail (20) is wetted with a mixture consisting of water and an agent that reduces the surface tension of the water and thereby temporarily cancels the adhesion of the adhesive material layer (27) until the water content has evaporated. The wetted region of the component (16) is inserted between the limbs (22) of the profiled rail (20) and is aligned before the water content in the mixture evaporates.</p> |
