<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate replacement of a spring member that constitutes an extended spring structure. <P>SOLUTION: A shock absorber includes a cylinder 1 which accommodates a working fluid, a rod 2 movably inserted into the cylinder 1 so as to be retreatable therefrom penetrating the head end H and the bottom end B of the cylinder 1, and a piston 3 which is provided at the intermediate part of the rod 2 and accommodated slidably in the cylinder 1 to partition the inside of the cylinder 1 to one pressure chamber R1 and the other pressure chamber R2. The shock absorber is set into both rod type and disposed between the vehicle body side and the wheel side of a vehicle. In this shock absorber, one end of the rod 2, which protrudes outside penetrating the head end H of the cylinder 1 or the other end of the rod 2, which protrudes outside penetrating the bottom end B of the cylinder 1, has an extended spring structure 5 which restricts the protrusion length to the outside with respect to the cylinder 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
