摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zinc sulfide phosphor particle in which the bright spot density is high, and which gives a decentralized inorganic EL element that improves the luminance. <P>SOLUTION: The zinc sulfide phosphor particle is as follows. The axis length ratio shown by major axis length/short axis length is 1.05-1.50, the major axis is parallel to the planar defect of the zinc sulfide cubic crystal in the particle, and the circularity which is obtained by observing the zinc sulphide phosphor particle from the surface making the major axis a normal, wherein the circularity is defined by the circularity = L<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/4πA (L: the circumference length of the zinc sulphide phosphor particle image observed when viewing from the surface, A: the area of the zinc sulphide phosphor particle image observed when viewing from the surface) is at most 1.250.
