<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission whose power transmission efficiency is further improved. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission 1 has, as operation modes, a high mode in which power transmission from an input shaft 2 to output shaft 3 is performed via a toroidal continuously variable transmission mechanism 12, and a low mode in which the power transmission is performed via a second power transmission mechanism 9 and a first planetary gear mechanism 8 while a transmission gear ratio of the transmission 1 is controlled by the toroidal continuously variable transmission mechanism 12. A gear ratio of the first planetary gear 8 is set such that the output shaft 3 should not rotate backward in the whole range of a speed ratio which the toroidal continuously variable transmission mechanism 12 can have in the low mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
