<p>Aqueous dispersion comprises: a vinylidene chloride polymer (I); and a statistical, alternate or gradient copolymer (II) comprising a monomer (M1) having a phosphonate and a monomer (M2) derived from a monomer like styrene, maleic anhydride, itaconic acid or (meth)acrylic monomer. Aqueous dispersion comprises: a vinylidene chloride polymer (I); and a statistical, alternate or gradient copolymer (II) comprising a monomer (M1) having a phosphonate group of formula PO(OH)(OR1) and a monomer (M2) derived from a monomer like styrene, maleic anhydride, itaconic acid or (meth)acrylic monomer of formula CH 2=CR2R3. R1 : H or 1-11C alkyl; R2 : H or CH 3; R3 : CN or COR4; R4 : OH or OR5; R5 : 1-18C alkyl (optionally carry OH), 2-10C epoxyalkyl, 2-10C alkoxyalkyl, or NR6R7; and R6, R7 : H or 1-10C alkyl (optionally carry OH). An independent claim is included for a method of preparing the dispersion comprising mixing an aqueous dispersion of (I) and aqueous dispersions of (II).</p> |
