<p>The present invention provides a coated cutting tool in which the surface of a base material is coated with a hard coating. The hard coating comprises: an (a) layer, which is disposed on the surface of the base material and is obtained from a carbide containing W and Ti; and a (b) layer, which is disposed on the (a) layer and is obtained from an AlCrSi nitride or carbonitride for which, of the metal elements (including metalloids), the content (atom %) of Al is highest and the content (atom %) of Si is 5% - 20%. The (b) layer is a NaCl-type crystal structure.</p> |
