摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operational method of a solid oxide fuel battery and a solid oxide fuel battery system, capable of preventing each solid oxide fuel battery cell from being damaged at the time of normal stop and even at the time of an emergency stop.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel battery system 1 of the present invention has a solid oxide fuel battery 12 including a plurality of solid oxide fuel battery cells. At the time of an emergency stop, a control part 20 stops supply of a fuel gas to fuel electrodes of the cells from a fuel gas supplying part 2 in a high-temperature condition, supplies an inert gas from a fuel-electrode inert gas supplying part 3 toward the fuel electrode side at a predetermined flow rate, and continues supplying an oxidation gas to air electrodes. The control part 20 stops supply of the oxidation gas from an oxidation gas supplying part 5 in a high-temperature condition at the time when a cell voltage of the solid oxide fuel battery cells reaches a predetermined voltage, and supplies the inert gas from an air-electrode inert gas supplying part 6 toward the air electrode side at a predetermined flow rate. Thus, operation of the solid oxide fuel battery system 1 is stopped.
