PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation shielding board whose specific gravity is hardly changed, and whose mechanical strength is hardly lowered, even if the mixing amount of barium sulfate to hydraulic gypsum is increased, and which has prescribed radiation shieldability.SOLUTION: In order to give prescribed fluidity, water is added to a product obtained by mixing 240-300 pts. wt, more preferably, 250-260 pts. wt of barium sulfate to 100 pts. wt of hydraulic gypsum, and kneaded, then poured between gypsum board base papers so as to have a thickness of 10-20 mm, more preferably, 12-13 mm, to thereby obtain a plate radiation shielding board whose specific gravity in the dried state is 1.5-2.0, more preferably, 1.6-1.7. |
