<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion chamber structure for an engine and a cylinder head structure by which generation of a tumble flow in a combustion chamber having a pent roof type combustion chamber ceiling part is improved, filling efficiency is improved and combustion stability and engine output are secured. <P>SOLUTION: Intake air obliquely introduced to the combustion chamber 40 from a gap between respective intake valves 51A, 51B in an open state and respective intake port opening ends 42A, 42B is guided by air flow guide recessed parts 35A, 35B provided to be recessed in the top part 23 of a combustion ceiling part 22 and is introduced from the intake air side slant surface 24 side to an exhaust side slant surface 25 side along the combustion chamber ceiling part 22 to generate a strong tumble flow in the combustion chamber 40. Fresh air is introduced smoothly to the combustion chamber 40 from the intake port opening ends 42A, 42B to improve the filling efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
