<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method which can output a uniform image having no graininess or density unevenness across all-tone regions from a low-density part to a high-density part from a low-density part when tone-expressing one pixel while making it associate with a plurality of areas (recording resolution) in a multi-pass recording. <P>SOLUTION: By referring to dot patterns in which the recording or non-recording of dots to an individual pixel (area) corresponding to the recording resolution is defined in advance, quantized data are converted into binary data having a higher resolution. In such a case, the dot patterns are prepared to differ from each other for M times of scanning in the multi-pass recording of M passes. Then, an order of recording the M dot patterns on a recording medium is fixed. In consequence, it is possible to restrain a variation of a coverage ratio caused by recording position displacement in each recording scan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
