<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray type conveying device in which rigidity of a carriage is enhanced while consumption energy in a drive device is reduced by weight reduction of the carriage, so that conveying of a heavy article, and the like are enabled, thus expanding kinds of conveyed articles and increasing convenience of the conveying device. <P>SOLUTION: The tray type conveying device includes a linear motor for traveling a carriage 102 for supporting a tray on which an article is placed. The carriage 102 includes a tray support member 110 for supporting the tray 101, and a yoke 120 for supporting the tray support member 110. The yoke 120 is comprised of a front support body 130 and a back support body 140 for supporting the tray support member 110, and first and second yoke coupling members 123, 124 as reinforcing members for increasing rigidity of the yoke 120 by coupling both of the support bodies 130, 140.
