<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of charging metallic pieces to a shaft furnace to charge the metallic pieces such as copper scrap into the furnace from an upper part of the shaft furnace, a metallic piece charging device, and a method of recycling copper scrap. <P>SOLUTION: This charging device 1 includes a metallic piece holding section 10 having a storage section for storing the metallic pieces and a pressurizing chamber for temporarily holding the prescribed amount of metallic pieces transferred from the storage section, a transport pipe 30 for introducing the metallic pieces from the pressurizing chamber to an upper section of the shaft furnace, and a pressurized gas supply section 20 generating the compressed air to pressure-feed the metallic pieces in the pressurizing chamber to the shaft furnace 100 through the transport pipe. The neighborhood (introducing section) of an inlet 30i of the transport pipe is inclined downward so that the metallic pieces pressure-fed by the compressed air and passed through the transport pipe is discharged downward in the shaft furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
