To provide a tire shaping drum in which a tire member can be improved in quality by preventing backlash between two adjacent segments, and tire manufacturing productivity can be improved by decreasing a cause of facility stopping. The tire shaping drum (1) has a central axle (2), a drum part (3) which is capable of expansion and contraction, and a expanding/contracting means 4 for changing the drum part (3). In the drum part (3), first segments (20) having first end faces (22) at both ends in the circumferential direction, and second segments (21) having second end faces (24) at both ends in the circumferential direction, are alternately seriated. There is provided with a backlash prevention means for preventing backlash between the contacting first end faces (22) and second end faces (24) when the drum part (3) is in a diameter expanded state Y e. Consequently, the first end faces (22) and the second end faces (24) closely contact with each other, and changes in the circularity of the drum part and the outer diameter of the drum part can be prevented. The tire member can be improved in quality. |
