A group message is transmitted to a group by a subscriber device (UE1) in a radio cell on a radio communications network. An overriding radio network control unit (RNC1) controls a base station for each radio cell. The RNC1 has sole control over whether/how multiple subscriber devices are entered up to the minute per radio cell for each group. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A radio communications network for transmitting group messages; (b) and for a subsystem in the radio communications network; (c) and for a radio communications device like a mobile telephone for transmitting a data signal to the overriding radio communications network control unit.
