<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print data receiving device and a print data receiving device control method that can shorten the time for print job processing by a sub CPU, suppress generation of reception errors by reliably processing print data, and prevent generation of wasteful time in print processing. <P>SOLUTION: The print data receiving device which receives print data from outside, includes: a first memory part that can store print data; a first computing part that processes the print data stored in the first memory part; a second memory part that can store the print data; and a second computing part that consumes less power than the first computing part and monitors whether the print data has been received or not in a power-saving mode in which working of the first memory part and the first computing part is stopped. If the print data has been received, the second computing part gives orders to activate the first memory part and the first computing part and causes the print data to be stored in the second memory part before the activation is completed. When the activation of the first memory part and the first computing part is completed, the print data stored in the second memory part is transferred to the first memory part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
