<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite particle having excellent yield property, opacity improving ability and oil absorption by using a titanium dioxide particle, and to provide a composite particle-internally added paper and a coated paper having excellent opacity and the like by using the composite particle. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a composite particle having an aggregate in which a calcium carbonate particle and a titanium dioxide particle are aggregated by an aggregating agent and silica which covers at least a part of the surface of the aggregate. The composite particle-internally added paper of the invention contains the composite particle internally added.
