<p>The laying plates has outer walls (2), which have an insertion element (3) and one receiving area (4) with an insertion opening for insertion of the insertion element as a connecting device. A receiving element, outstanding from the outer wall, is provided with a groove extending parallel to the outer wall in each receiving area. The insertion element is arranged in the receiving element in a closed condition, and is adapted to the shape of the groove.
