<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect a subject in a moving image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a reception part which receives input of an moving image; a calculation part which calculates a subject likelihood indicative of the possibility that a subject is present in a partial area on a frame image constituting the moving image; a storage part which relates and stores position information for specifying the position of the partial area on the frame image constituting the moving image and the subject likelihood of the partial area; a cutting-out part which cuts the partial area out using position information related to a subject likelihood larger than a threshold among subject likelihoods stored in the storage part; and a detection part which detects the subject in the partial area cut out by the cutting-out part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
