<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus having improved examination efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a body, a magnetic transmitter, an arm, and a holding portion. The body has a front side provided with an operation portion operated by an operator. The transmitter generates a magnetic field for detecting the position of an ultrasonic probe.
