1,109,673. X-ray testing of fluid tightness. CENTRE-BOITES S.A. April 29, 1965 [Nov. 23, 1964], No. 18155/65. Heading G1A. The fluid tightness of a hollow body is checked by subjecting it to an inert gas under pressure and determining whether there has been a change of gas pressure internally or externally of the body. The inert gas may be Xenon or Krypton and X-rays may be used to induce fluorescence which may be measured to indicate gas pressure. The chamber enclosing the inert gas may include electrodes and form an ionization chamber. A mathematical analysis is included. |
